**Auburn Avenue Research Library Unveils Special Edition Library Card for 30th Anniversary**

The Auburn Avenue Research Library on African American Culture and History in Atlanta celebrated its 30th anniversary today with the unveiling of a special edition library card, marking a major milestone in its efforts to preserve and honor African American culture and history.

The event, hosted by the Fulton County Library System in collaboration with the Atlanta-Fulton Public Library Foundation, introduced a unique library card designed by the renowned artist Charly Palmer. Palmer was present at the ceremony, where he spoke about his creative process in crafting the card. His original artwork, which inspired the card's design, will now be permanently displayed at the Auburn Avenue Research Library.

Guests also enjoyed a surprise gift at the event: complimentary copies of Mario Anthony Reyes's newest book, featuring cover art by Charly Palmer. Both the author and Charly Palmer engaged with attendees, signing and distributing the books.

The limited-edition library card, highlighted as a collector’s item, features Palmer's signature and will only be available for a short time. A total of 500 cards have been created for distribution to both new and current library cardholders.

This celebration of the Auburn Avenue Research Library's 30 years of service underscores its ongoing mission to support education, culture, and community engagement in the heart of Atlanta.
