**Bangor Fire Department Reports 862 Incident Responses in December 2024**

The Bangor Fire Department released its monthly response report for December 2024, detailing the department's activities to close out the year. The department responded to a total of 862 incidents during the month, bringing the 2024 total to 9,870 calls for service. The majority, 708 calls in December and 8,186 for the year, were related to EMS (Emergency Medical Services) and rescue operations, which made up 82.9% of total incidents.

- **Engine 5**: Handled 89 responses in December, 915 total for the year.

- **Engine 6**: Recorded 87 responses in December, adding up to 1,105 for the year.

- **Ladder 1**: Responded to 69 calls in December.
